SAMPLE TESTIMONY

Dear Commissioners,

I am writing to express my concern about the Midtown South Mixed-Use (MSMX) Plan. While I support more housing in our city, I urge the Commission to adopt measures that preserve the Garment District’s small businesses, fashion manufacturers, and historic buildings.

Without stronger protections and real investment in adaptive reuse, job retention, and displacement relief, the MSMX plan risks erasing one of the last active manufacturing hubs in Manhattan.

Please work with the community to ensure this plan balances growth with preservation and equity.

Sincerely,
[Your Name]
